The MEP Planning Engineer is responsible for planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting all MEP activities for high-rise building projects. The role ensures that MEP works are executed in line with project milestones, contractual requirements, and overall project schedules while coordinating closely with construction, engineering, procurement, and subcontracting teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and update detailed MEP project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
  • Prepare baseline programs, recovery schedules, look-ahead plans, and progress monitoring reports.
  • Coordinate with construction, engineering, procurement, and subcontracting teams to ensure alignment of MEP activities with the overall project schedule.
  • Monitor project progress and identify potential delays, risks, and bottlenecks affecting MEP works.
  • Analyze project performance and recommend corrective actions to maintain schedule targets.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and management presentations.
  • Track procurement, material deliveries, shop drawing approvals, and authority approvals related to MEP activities.
  • Conduct schedule impact analysis and assist in preparing extension of time (EOT) claims when required.
  • Monitor resource allocation, manpower productivity, and equipment utilization.
  • Coordinate with site teams to ensure planned activities are executed as scheduled.
  • Participate in project progress meetings and provide planning updates to management and stakeholders.
  • Review subcontractor schedules and monitor their performance against approved programs.
  • Support project teams during testing, commissioning, and handover phases.

Key Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of MEP systems, including HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and ELV systems.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project.
  • Strong understanding of planning methodologies, critical path analysis, and resource planning.
  • Ability to analyze project schedules and identify risks and mitigation measures.
  • Excellent reporting, coordination, and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline.
  • Certification in Primavera P6 is preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in planning and scheduling of MEP works.
  • At least 3–5 years of experience in high-rise building construction projects.
  • GCC/UAE construction experience is highly preferred.
  • Experience in mixed-use, residential, commercial, and high-rise tower developments is an advantage.

Software Requirements:

  • Primavera P6 (Mandatory)
  • Microsoft Project
  • Microsoft Excel (Advanced Level)
  • AutoCAD (Basic Understanding)
  • Power BI (Preferred)

Other Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing and MEP coordination requirements.
  • Experience in progress measurement, earned value analysis, and project controls.
  • Familiarity with contract requirements and project reporting standards.
  • Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary project teams.

Pay: AED4,123.31 - AED16,038.64 per month
