Mechanical Design Engineer

A highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with over 5 years of experience in designing, developing, and optimizing mechanical systems for industrial, commercial, and infrastructure projects. Experienced in preparing detailed design calculations, 2D/3D models, fabrication drawings, and technical specifications in compliance with international codes and project requirements. Proficient in CAD tools such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks, with strong expertise in HVAC, piping, and mechanical equipment design. Known for delivering efficient, cost-effective engineering solutions, coordinating effectively with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring timely project delivery while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform design calculations related to mechanical works (HVAC /SMS/ Plumbing / Special Systems) using governing engineering formulas, standards, skills, and experience.
• General Arrangements, Layouts, and plans and schematic diagrams
• prepare design options and documents
• Value engineering studies
• Extracts engineering information from CAD drawings.
• Prepares engineering computations, material quantity take-offs, estimates, surveys, and designs
• Frequently interfaces with other Engineering disciplines as well as other departments
• Reviews shop drawings, supplier drawing and technical submittals
• Prepares and issues specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents
• Performs technical tender analyses and prepares tender evaluation report
• Provides technical guidance to CAD Designers, Drafters, and lower-level Engineers working on the same project.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from a major University, Professional Engineer registration may be required.
• Minimum 5+ years of electrical design experience on building projects
• Aware of International design practices, standards such as IEC, BS, ANSI.
• Worked on projects with local utility companies ADDC, TRANSCO, DEWA, FEWA etc. and well versed with their specifications and systems
• Good spoken and written English is essential
• Strong background in cost estimation for scope of work development and subcontractor specifications and equipment
• Proficiency in utilizing CAD and other engineering design software packages
• BIM Experience.

Pay: Up to AED20,000.00 per month
