Project Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer with a minimum of 4–5 years of UAE experience in fit-out and interior projects. The ideal candidate must have proven experience in mall fit-out projects and possess strong knowledge of Civil, Architectural, and MEP works. The candidate will be responsible for planning, execution, coordination, monitoring, and successful delivery of projects while ensuring compliance with client, consultant, and mall management requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

• Manage and supervise fit-out, interior, civil, and MEP works from project initiation through handover.
• Review project drawings, specifications, BOQs, and contractual requirements.
• Prepare project schedules, manpower plans, procurement schedules, and progress reports.
• Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion within budget and quality standards.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and mall management.

Civil & Interior Works

• Supervise civil and architectural works including partitioning, flooring, ceilings, gypsum works, painting, joinery, glass works, metal works, and finishing activities.
• Ensure execution complies with approved shop drawings and project specifications.
• Conduct site inspections and quality checks for all fit-out activities.

Mall Fit-Out Management

• Liaise with mall management for permits, work approvals, access passes, inspections, and handover requirements.
• Ensure compliance with mall fit-out manuals, regulations, and operational procedures.
• Coordinate shutdown activities, after-hours work, and logistics requirements within mall environments.
• Attend progress meetings with mall management, consultants, and clients.

Project Controls & Documentation

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
• Monitor project costs, variations, and change orders.
• Review and track material submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, and technical submissions.
• Maintain project documentation and records.

Quality & Safety

• Ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures and project specifications.
• Monitor site safety requirements and implementation of HSE standards.
• Conduct inspections, snagging, de-snagging, and project close-out activities.
• Support testing, commissioning, and final project handover.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 4–5 years of UAE experience in fit-out and interior projects.
• Proven experience in shopping mall, retail, F&B, restaurant, kiosk, and commercial fit-out projects.
• Strong knowledge of Civil, Architectural, HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, Fire Alarm, and ELV systems.
• Experience coordinating with mall management and obtaining required permits and approvals.
• UAE Driving License mandatory.
• Ability to read and interpret Architectural, Structural, Civil, and MEP drawings.
• Strong communication, planning, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in major UAE malls and retail developments.
• Knowledge of UAE authority regulations and mall fit-out procedures.
• Familiarity with testing, commissioning, and authority inspections.

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
