Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer responsible for managing and optimizing virtualized infrastructure and enterprise endpoint management solutions. The role focuses on VMware environments, Microsoft SCCM, Windows Server administration, and ensuring high availability, security, and operational efficiency of IT systems.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure & Virtualization Management

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot VMware ESXi hypervisor environments.
• Monitor and optimize infrastructure performance using VMware vRealize Suite (vROps).
• Develop and execute upgrade and improvement plans for virtual environments to ensure compatibility, performance, and security compliance.
• Perform capacity planning and proactively address infrastructure gaps.

System Administration

• Manage and maintain Microsoft Windows Server environments (2016 and above) to ensure stability and optimal performance.
• Plan and execute system upgrades, migrations, patches, and troubleshooting activities.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve system issues, ensuring ownership through to closure.

SCCM & Endpoint Management

• Design, create, and deploy applications, packages, and task sequences using Microsoft SCCM.
• Automate software delivery and patch management across enterprise endpoints.
• Execute security updates for servers and endpoints to enhance system security and reduce operational risks.

Monitoring, Reporting & Optimization

• Continuously review operational processes using monitoring tools, reports, logs, and change management systems.
• Provide actionable recommendations to improve performance, reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Utilize automation tools to streamline routine tasks and improve service delivery.

Documentation & Compliance

• Develop and maintain detailed documentation for SCCM operations and virtual environments.
• Support regulatory audits, internal compliance reviews, and IT asset lifecycle management (including decommissioning).
• Ensure adherence to standardized operational procedures and best practices.

Vendor Management & Support

• Coordinate with vendors such as VMware and Microsoft for issue resolution and escalations.
• Open and manage support cases, ensuring timely resolution of production issues.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience with VMware ESXi, vCenter, and vRealize Suite.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft SCCM (Configuration Manager).
• Hands-on experience with Windows Server 2016 and above.
• Solid understanding of virtualization, system performance tuning, and infrastructure monitoring.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with automation tools and scripting (PowerShell preferred).
• Knowledge of ITIL processes and change management frameworks.
• Strong documentation and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
