Mechanical Project Engineer

Job Summary

Soli Deo Building Contracting LLC is seeking a motivated Mechanical Project Engineer to join our engineering team. This role is ideal for candidates with a minimum of 2 years of UAE experience who are looking to further develop their careers in the construction industry. The successful candidate will assist in the planning, coordination, execution, and monitoring of mechanical works to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with project specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

The key duties and responsibilities of the Mechanical Project Engineer include, but are not limited to:

• Assist in the supervision and execution of daily mechanical engineering and site activities.
• Monitor site progress and ensure mechanical works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports and maintain accurate technical documentation and records.
• Support project planning, coordination, and execution to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
• Review mechanical drawings, specifications, and other engineering documents to identify discrepancies and provide technical input.
• Coordinate effectively with internal departments, site engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams to facilitate smooth project operations.
• Participate in site inspections and quality control activities to ensure compliance with applicable standards and project requirements.
• Assist in material tracking, procurement follow-up, and verification of delivered materials against project specifications.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, health and safety regulations, and environmental requirements at all times.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Project Manager or Senior Mechanical Engineer.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Candidates with minimum 2 years of UAE experience are encouraged to apply.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear and concise reports.
• Good computer proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
• Basic understanding of mechanical engineering principles, construction practices, and interpretation of engineering drawings.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and eagerness to develop professionally within the construction industry.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and other engineering software will be considered an advantage.

Work Location: In person
