Data Scientist Analyst (3 Month Project)

Role Description This is a 3-month, on-site contract role for a Data Scientist based in Dubai. The Data Scientist will work closely with cross-functional teams to collect, clean, and transform structured and unstructured data from multiple sources. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and validating statistical and machine learning models, performing exploratory data analysis, and generating data-driven insights to support business decisions. The role involves designing dashboards and visualizations to communicate complex findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders. The Data Scientist will also help define metrics, document methods and results, and contribute to best practices in data quality, reproducibility, and model governance.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Data Science and Statistics, including experience with experimental design, hypothesis testing, and predictive modeling.
• Proficiency in Data Analytics and Data Analysis, with the ability to translate business questions into analytical problems and actionable insights.
• Hands-on experience in Data Visualization using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar, and libraries such as Matplotlib, Seaborn, or Plotly.
• Practical experience with programming languages commonly used in data science (e.g., Python, R) and querying languages (e.g., SQL).
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch) and model evaluation techniques.
• Ability to work on-site in Dubai and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced project environment.
• Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field; equivalent practical experience is also considered.
• Experience in digital transformation, financial services, or related domains is an advantage.
