Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Calibration Engineer to perform calibration, verification, maintenance, and technical support for a wide range of instruments covering Pressure, Temperature, Torque, Dimensional, Electrical, Mass, and Force/Load parameters. The role requires strong technical competence in calibration methodologies, measurement uncertainty, ISO/IEC 17025 requirements, and laboratory quality systems. Key Responsibilities Calibration Activities* + Perform calibration, verification, and adjustment of instruments related to: + Pressure (gauges, transmitters, pressure switches, calibrators) + Temperature (RTDs, thermocouples, temperature indicators, dry block calibrators) + Torque (torque wrenches, torque testers, transducers) + Dimensional Metrology (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, height gauges, gauge blocks, thread gauges, bore gauges) + Electrical (multimeters, clamp meters, insulation testers, process calibrators, power supplies) + Mass (balances, weighing scales, mass standards) + Force/Load (load cells, force gauges, tensile/compression testing equipment) + Perform both laboratory and on-site calibration activities. + Ensure traceability of measurements to national and international standards. + Calculate and report measurement uncertainty as per laboratory requirements. + Review calibration results and determine compliance against specifications. + Troubleshoot instruments and provide technical recommendations for repair or adjustment.
Quality & Compliance* + Prepare calibration certificates and reports in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 requirements. + Maintain calibration records, work instructions, technical procedures, and quality documentation. + Ensure compliance with laboratory quality management systems and accreditation requirements. + Participate in internal audits, external audits, and accreditation assessments. + Support implementation and continuous improvement of ISO/IEC 17025 procedures. + Assist in corrective actions, root cause analysis, risk assessments, and non-conformance investigations. + Maintain laboratory environmental monitoring records and equipment traceability.
Technical & Customer Support* + Provide technical support to customers regarding calibration requirements and measurement best practices. + Coordinate with sales and service teams on calibration contracts and customer requirements. + Support method validation, proficiency testing, and inter-laboratory comparison activities. + Assist in the development and revision of calibration procedures and work instructions.
*Qualifications**Education + Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering.
Experience* + Minimum 3–5 years of experience in an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited calibration laboratory. + Hands-on experience in calibration of Pressure, Temperature, Torque, Dimensional, Electrical, Mass, and Force/Load parameters. + Experience in uncertainty calculations and technical review of calibration certificates. + Exposure to accreditation body assessments and quality audits.
Technical Competencies* + Strong knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025:2017 requirements. + Understanding of laboratory quality management systems. + Knowledge of measurement uncertainty calculations and traceability requirements. + Familiarity with international standards such as: + ISO 17025 + ISO 9001 + ILAC Guidelines + EURAMET Guides + Relevant ASTM, ISO, and IEC standards + Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office and calibration management software.
