Description

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on MEP Supervisor cum Engineer who knows plumbing and electrical works inside out – from first fix to testing, commissioning and handover. This is a dual role: you will engineer the work (drawings, materials, inspections, billing) and supervise it on the ground (crews, targets, quality). You will be responsible for driving multiple electrician and plumber teams across a fast-track villa program where daily productivity targets are non-negotiable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day execution of electrical works: slab/ceiling/wall conduiting, GI boxes, DB/SDB installation and dressing, cable pulling and termination, lighting and power wiring, low-current (Cat6/ONU/FDB) containment, final fix, testing and snag clearance.
  • Supervise day-to-day execution of plumbing works: drainage and water supply piping (PPR/uPVC/PEX), water heaters, booster pumps, sanitary fixing, pressure testing, flushing and commissioning.
  • Plan and assign daily/weekly targets to electrician, plumber and helper crews; track productivity per villa per stage and report progress against the program.
  • Read, interpret and work from IFC drawings, schematics, load schedules and shop drawings; raise RFIs and resolve site discrepancies before they stop work.
  • Coordinate MEP clearances with civil works (slab casting, blockwork, plaster, paint) so work fronts are never missed and rework is avoided.
  • Raise material requisitions in line with BOQ; control material consumption, prevent wastage and return balance material to store.
  • Conduct continuity, insulation resistance, earth and pressure tests; prepare for and attend consultant/client inspections (WIR/MIR) and close out comments.
  • Prepare work-done quantities against the billing breakdown for monthly payment applications and subcontractor payments.
  • Enforce HSE procedures, housekeeping and safe working practices across all MEP crews.
  • Support testing & commissioning, authority inspections, handover documentation and DLP/snag works.

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent technical qualification).
  • Minimum 5 years UAE experience in MEP construction, with at least 3 years on residential villa / townhouse / low-rise projects.
  • Strong hands-on, trade-level knowledge of BOTH electrical and plumbing installation – able to demonstrate, correct and quality-check the work of tradesmen personally, not just manage on paper.
  • Solid working knowledge of UAE authority requirements and standards (ADDC/DEWA/FEWA regulations, Civil Defense, Estidama/local codes as applicable).
  • Proven experience supervising large multi-crew teams (20+ tradesmen) and hitting handover targets on repetitive unit projects.
  • Able to take off quantities, understand BOQ weightages and prepare work-done/billing breakdowns.
  • Proficient with drawings (AutoCAD viewing), MS Excel and basic reporting.
  • Available to join immediately (visit visa, cancelled visa or transferable employment visa).
  • UAE driving license preferred.
  • Languages: English required; Arabic/Hindi/Urdu an advantage for site communication.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary package commensurate with experience.
  • Employment visa, medical insurance and annual benefits as per UAE Labour Law.
  • Long project pipeline with a high-volume residential program – stable, continuous work.
