Sales Engineer – Elevator Industry: Job Summary
The Sales Engineer is responsible for promoting and selling elevator, escalator, and vertical transportation solutions to customers, contractors, consultants, architects, and developers. The role combines technical expertise with sales skills to identify customer requirements, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and achieve sales targets while ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business Development
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in the elevator and escalator market.
- Generate leads through networking, site visits, consultants, contractors, and developers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and project opportunities.
Technical Sales Support
- Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable elevator and escalator solutions.
- Review architectural drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals, quotations, and bid submissions.
- Coordinate with engineering and operations teams to ensure technical feasibility.
- Conduct product presentations and technical discussions with clients.
Project Coordination
- Follow up on ongoing projects from quotation stage to contract award.
- Coordinate with installation and service teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Assist in resolving customer concerns and technical issues during project implementation.
- Ensure all project documentation is completed accurately.
Customer Relationship Management
- Maintain regular communication with clients and consultants.
- Provide after-sales support and identify modernization or maintenance sales opportunities.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Reporting & Administration
- Prepare sales forecasts and pipeline reports.
- Maintain accurate records .
- Submit weekly and monthly sales activity reports.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Is and advantage.
- Additional sales or business development training is an advantage.
Required Skills
- Strong technical understanding of elevator and escalator systems.
- Excellent sales, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Customer-focused approach with problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
- Valid driving license (often required for site and client visits).
driving license will be advantage
Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,500.00 per month
