JOINERY DRAFTSMAN

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Joinery Draftsman to support the team in delivering high-end bespoke joinery solutions for luxury residential projects. The role involves preparing accurate technical drawings, coordinating with designers and production teams, and ensuring manufacturability and quality standards are met.

Experience Required

5–8 years in joinery drafting, preferably in luxury residential / high-end interior fit-out projects

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed joinery shop drawings and production drawings for bespoke joinery items such as:
• Wardrobes
• Kitchens
• Wall panelling
• Doors
• Vanity units
• Custom furniture
• Translate design concepts into accurate, production-ready technical drawings.
• Work closely with:
• Design team (to interpret concepts and specifications)
• Production team (to ensure drawings align with production requirements and to prepare MRFs to issue together with the production drawings)
• Site team (for coordination and prepare the drawings as per site & revisions if required)
• Ensure drawings comply with:
• Client specifications
• Project standards / company standards
• Materials achievable sizes constraints.
• Shop / machine constraints
• Revise and update drawings based on:
• Client comments
• Site conditions
• Production feedback
• Coordinate with production team where applicable.
• Support procurement by providing material specifications and quantities.
• Maintain proper documentation and version control of drawings.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of joinery production methods and materials (MDF, MFC, veneers, laminates, solid wood, hardware, etc.)
• Proficiency in drafting software:
• AutoCAD (essential)
• SketchUp / SolidWorks / Cabinet Vision / TopSolid (is a Plus)
• Ability to produce:
• Detailed sections
• Exploded drawings
• Assembly drawings
• Understanding of:
• Joinery fixings and hardware
• CNC processes
• Finishes and materials transition details
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Diploma / Degree in:
• Interior Design
• Furniture Design
• Wood Technology
• Experience in GCC / Middle East projects (advantage).
• Exposure to luxury villa or high-end residential interiors.

• Compliance with project and factory standards

Working Relationships

• Reports to: Production Manager / Design Manager
• Works closely with:
• Designers
• Factory supervisors
• CNC operators
• Project/site engineers

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED11,000.00 per month
