Chief Surveyor

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Chief Surveyor to lead all surveying activities for major Roads & Infrastructure projects in Dubai. The ideal candidate must possess extensive experience in RTA projects and demonstrate strong expertise in road alignment, bridge and underpass construction, setting out, and survey team management. The Chief Surveyor will ensure the accuracy of all survey operations and provide technical support to project execution teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all surveying activities for roads, highways, bridges, underpasses, and infrastructure projects.
• Establish project control points, benchmarks, and survey networks in accordance with project specifications and RTA standards.
• Oversee setting out works for road alignments, utilities, structures, bridges, retaining walls, and associated infrastructure.
• Verify survey data, coordinates, levels, and as-built measurements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, Consultants, and Site Teams regarding survey requirements and construction activities.
• Supervise and mentor surveyors and survey assistants, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
• Prepare and review survey reports, calculations, drawings, and as-built documentation.
• Ensure proper calibration, maintenance, and utilization of survey instruments and equipment.
• Monitor construction progress through periodic surveys and provide accurate data for project control.
• Ensure compliance with RTA specifications, project quality standards, and HSE requirements.
• Support quantity calculations, earthwork measurements, and progress monitoring activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Surveying, Civil Engineering, Geomatics, or related field.
• Minimum 10–15 years of experience in surveying for Roads & Infrastructure projects.
• Mandatory experience in RTA projects within Dubai/UAE.
• Proven experience in Bridges, Underpasses, Interchanges, and Major Road Works.
• Strong knowledge of road alignment, setting out, leveling, traversing, and construction surveying.
• Experience managing and leading survey teams on large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in modern surveying equipment
• Proficient in survey software and engineering applications
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment and meet project deadlines.
