Role Description The Account Manager role at Al Kabayel is a full-time, on-site position based in Dubai. The Account Manager must have strong UAE retail accounting experience and the ability to manage financial operations across all supermarket branches and warehouse facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete accounting operations for all supermarket branches and warehouse.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure accurate bookkeeping and maintenance of the General Ledger.
- Monitor daily sales reconciliation, cash collection, and banking transactions.
- Supervise Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and credit control.
- Manage supplier payments, customer accounts, and vendor reconciliations.
- Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA) regulations.
- Coordinate with external auditors and ensure timely completion of audits.
- Prepare monthly management reports, profitability analysis, and financial dashboards.
- Monitor branch-wise and warehouse inventory valuation and reconciliation.
- Control operational expenses and recommend cost-saving initiatives.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
- Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to senior management.
- Monitor payroll accounting and employee-related financial transactions.
- Ensure compliance with UAE accounting standards, company policies, and internal controls.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
- Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, HR, and operations departments.
- Handle banking facilities, LC, BG, and other financial documentation when required.
- Lead and mentor the accounting team while ensuring productivity and accuracy.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
- Professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, CMA, CPA, or equivalent is highly preferred.
- Minimum 5–8 years of UAE accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Prior experience in supermarkets, hypermarkets, retail chains, FMCG, or wholesale trading is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and financial compliance.
- Excellent understanding of accounting standards and financial reporting.
- Experience handling multi-branch accounting operations.
Technical Skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Power Query, Financial Analysis).
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo, Focus ERP, Zoho Books, Tally Prime, or other retail accounting software.
- Strong inventory accounting and stock reconciliation knowledge.
- Financial planning and budgeting.
- Cash flow management.
- Bank reconciliation.

- MIS reporting and dashboard preparation.
