MEP Planning Engineer

The MEP Planning Engineer is responsible for developing, monitoring, and controlling project schedules related to Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works. The role requires strong coordination with project teams and authorities to ensure timely execution while complying with Abu Dhabi regulatory requirements and approvals.

Planning & Scheduling

• Develop detailed project schedules for MEP works using Primavera P6 or equivalent tools.
• Prepare baseline programs in alignment with overall project timelines.
• Monitor progress and update schedules regularly, highlighting delays and risks.
• Conduct critical path analysis and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare recovery plans and revised schedules when required.

Coordination & Execution

• Coordinate with MEP engineering, procurement, and construction teams.
• Align MEP schedules with civil and architectural activities.
• Support project management in decision-making using planning data.
• Liaise with subcontractors to track performance and progress.

Reporting

• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports including earned value analysis.
• Provide delay analysis, extension of time (EOT) claims, and mitigation strategies.
• Present planning updates to stakeholders and senior management.

Skills Required

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or relevant discipline.
• Minimum 5–10 years of experience in MEP planning within UAE, preferably in Abu Dhabi.
• Proven experience with large-scale construction projects.
• Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Familiarity with UAE construction standards and specifications.
