What ACES is Looking For?

ACES is looking for LIMS Engineer to join the team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Job Summary:

Responsible for the governance and control of ACES Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) data operations to ensure that all departments adhere to ACES operation policies and procedures, provides know-how guidance for users, participates in updating and modifying user manuals and system documentations. Work as liaison between users and CH-IT Department to address various system issues and user requirements, participate in system enhancements to meet ACES departments’ requirements

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform routine daily inspections and quality tests on projects/tasks available on ACES LIMS system, identify process violations and report corrective measures
• Perform a cross-check on machine integration process to ensure that data retrieval is gathered from machine to LIMS solution without human intervention
• Validate whether the appropriate testing standards are used and presented in all ACES reports with system testing activities
• Audit if users are performing any activity outside ACES LIMS and report these actions with corrective measures
• Follow up on open issues and ensure that they are handled properly and closed
• Report any observation or system usage deviations immediately to the QA/IT and CH IT team
• Ensure that all data, processes, functionalities are available for all department which are required to use ACES LIMS system, and report any nonconformity to CH IT/QA
• Document quality assurance activities and creating audit reports
• Participate in updating ACES LIMS user manuals and communicate these updates to system users
• Participate in generating any operational reports using ACES LIMS system
• Provide know-how guidance on how to use the system
• Conduct user training to correct the wrong usage
• Work as intermediate layer between departments who use ACES LIMS to understand and report any obstacles
• Acts as liaison between the users and the CH-IT department to address various system issues and user requirements
• Recommend functionalities/procedures that meet future business needs
• Propose enhancements and improvements on the current processes

This position will directly report to IT Department Manager/ IT Section Head

Job Requirements:

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering
• 0-2 years of experience in the Field.
