MEP Draftsman

We are seeking an experienced MEP Draftsman with 5–7 years of experience in preparing detailed Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) drawings . The ideal candidate should be proficient in AutoCAD and capable of producing accurate shop drawings, coordinated layouts, as-built drawings, and construction documentation while ensuring compliance with project specifications and applicable standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed MEP shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings using AutoCAD.
• Develop mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection layouts based on design and project requirements.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and MEP engineers to resolve design clashes and ensure proper integration of services.
• Revise drawings based on client comments, consultant feedback, and site conditions.
• Prepare equipment layouts, sections, elevations, and installation details.
• Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, local authority regulations, and industry standards.
• Maintain drawing registers and ensure proper document control.
• Support site teams by providing drawing clarifications and technical drafting assistance.
• Coordinate with BIM and design teams where applicable.
• Prepare quantity take-offs and material schedules from approved drawings when required.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of proven experience as an MEP Draftsman in building construction projects.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Working knowledge of Revit MEP and Navisworks is an added advantage.
• Good understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection systems.
• Familiarity with MEP coordination and construction methodologies.
• Knowledge of applicable local codes and international standards.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in preparing coordinated MEP shop drawings.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience working on high-rise, commercial, residential, or infrastructure projects is preferred.
