Engineer – Drawing, Workshop Management & Estimation

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge in engineering drawings, workshop operations, and cost estimation. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and reviewing technical drawings, managing workshop activities, coordinating with production teams, and preparing accurate project estimates to ensure timely and cost-effective project execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and interpret detailed engineering and fabrication drawings using CAD software.
  • Develop shop drawings and ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
  • Plan, supervise, and coordinate daily workshop operations to ensure productivity, quality, and safety.
  • Monitor fabrication progress and resolve technical issues during production.
  • Prepare accurate material take-offs, cost estimates, and quotations for projects.
  • Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of materials.
  • Optimize resource utilization and control project costs.
  • Conduct site visits when required for measurements, inspections, and project coordination.
  • Maintain project documentation, technical reports, and workshop records.
  • Work closely with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and health & safety regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in engineering, fabrication, or workshop management.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar drafting software.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering drawings, fabrication processes, and material estimation.
  • Experience in workshop planning, production coordination, and quality control.
  • Ability to prepare BOQs, material take-offs, and project cost estimates.
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in steel fabrication, interior fit-out, construction, or manufacturing industries.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and estimation software.
  • Familiarity with project planning tools is an added advantage.

Pay: AED1,800.00 - AED3,500.00 per month
