Planning Engineer

1. Schedule Development & Baseline Planning

• Creating Schedules: Developing detailed baseline schedules (typically using Primavera P6 or MS Project) that map out the entire MEP lifecycle, from design coordination and material procurement to installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Logic Linking: Ensuring MEP activities are properly linked with civil works, structural milestones, and architectural finishes to prevent tracking logic errors.

2. Progress Tracking & Performance Measurement

• Monitoring KPIs: Tracking daily, weekly, and monthly progress against the planned baseline using KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) like planned vs. actual percentage progress.
• Earned Value Management (EVM): Monitoring project health via metrics such as CPI (Cost Performance Index) and SPI (Schedule Performance Index) to detect early warning signs of delay.

3. Procurement & Logistics Planning

• Material Tracking: Developing procurement logs for long-lead MEP equipment (like Chillers, AHUs, Transformers, and LV Switchgear) to ensure manufacturing, shipping, and delivery dates align with the site installation schedule.
• Shop Drawing Schedules: Coordinating the submission and approval cycle of MEP shop drawings and material submittals with consultants.

4. Resource & Cost Optimization

• Resource Histograms: Analyzing manpower and equipment requirements to create resource histograms, ensuring the project is adequately staffed without unnecessary cost overruns.
• S-Curve Generation: Creating cash-flow projections and progress S-curves to help management visualize financial and physical progress simultaneously.

5. Delay Analysis & Claims Support

• EOT (Extension of Time) Analysis: Identifying critical path delays, assessing their root causes, and performing Forensic Delay Analysis (like Time Impact Analysis) to support formal contractual claims.
• Mitigation Strategy: Recommending recovery schedules or crashing/fast-tracking strategies when MEP works fall behind.

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED4,500.00 per month
