We are looking for a skilled Glass Restoration & Polishing Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about restoring damaged glass surfaces to their original clarity while maintaining the highest standards of workmanship and safety.

Position Overview

The Glass Restoration & Polishing Technician is responsible for inspecting, repairing, polishing, and restoring scratched, stained, etched, or damaged glass surfaces on commercial, residential, and high-rise construction projects. The successful candidate will use specialized restoration equipment and polishing techniques to achieve high-quality finishes while minimizing the need for glass replacement.

Key ResponsibilitiesGlass Restoration

• Inspect glass surfaces to assess scratches, stains, welding spatter, chemical damage, mineral deposits, and other defects.
• Perform professional glass restoration using industry-approved polishing systems and restoration techniques.
• Remove scratches, graffiti, acid etching, paint, cement residue, hard water stains, and surface contamination.
• Restore tempered, laminated, insulated, float, and architectural glass without compromising optical clarity.

Glass Polishing & Finishing

• Operate specialized polishing machines, rotary tools, polishing pads, and abrasives.
• Apply polishing compounds and restoration materials according to manufacturer recommendations.
• Ensure restored glass meets company quality standards with minimal distortion.
• Perform final cleaning and quality inspections before project handover.

Site Operations

• Carry out restoration work at construction sites, commercial buildings, hotels, airports, shopping malls, offices, residential towers, and industrial facilities.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, QA/QC teams, and clients to complete restoration activities efficiently.
• Protect surrounding finishes and installed materials during restoration works.

Equipment & Material Management

• Maintain polishing equipment, tools, consumables, and restoration materials.
• Ensure equipment is properly calibrated, cleaned, and stored after use.
• Report damaged tools or equipment requiring maintenance or replacement.

Quality & Safety

• Follow company HSE policies and safe work procedures at all times.
• Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while operating machinery and handling chemicals.
• Comply with UAE safety regulations and site-specific requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.

Qualifications

• High School Certificate or Technical/Vocational qualification preferred.
• Certification in glass restoration or polishing techniques is an advantage.

Experience

• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in glass restoration, polishing, glazing, façade maintenance, or related field.
• Experience restoring architectural glass on construction or commercial projects.
• UAE/GCC experience in façade or glazing projects is preferred.
