Position Overview

The Project Engineer – Aluminum & Façade is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing aluminum, glazing, and façade projects from design through final handover. The role involves close coordination with clients, consultants, design teams, procurement, production, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution

• Manage day-to-day execution of aluminum, façade, glazing, and architectural metal works projects.
• Review project drawings, specifications, contracts, and technical requirements.
• Develop project execution plans, work schedules, and resource requirements.
• Monitor project progress to ensure timely completion within budget and quality standards.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, fabrication, logistics, installation, testing, and project handover activities.

Site Coordination

• Supervise installation activities and ensure compliance with approved shop drawings and project specifications.
• Coordinate with Site Engineers, Supervisors, subcontractors, consultants, and clients to resolve technical and site-related issues.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor workmanship, productivity, safety, and quality.
• Ensure availability of materials, equipment, and manpower as per project schedules.

Technical Coordination

• Review shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with the Design and Engineering teams to resolve design issues and implement value engineering solutions.
• Ensure all work complies with contract specifications, local authority regulations, and project requirements.

Commercial & Cost Control

• Monitor project costs, productivity, and material consumption.
• Support preparation and evaluation of variation orders, claims, and commercial documentation.
• Assist in procurement planning and subcontractor coordination.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and improved operational efficiency.

Quality, Health & Safety

• Ensure full compliance with company Quality Management System (QMS) and HSE policies.
• Promote a strong safety culture across all project activities.
• Coordinate with QA/QC teams to ensure inspections, testing, and quality documentation are completed.
• Ensure compliance with UAE regulations and client safety requirements.

Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
• Maintain project documentation, site records, RFIs, NCRs, inspection requests, and material tracking reports.
• Attend project meetings and provide technical and progress updates to management and clients.
• Support project close-out and final handover documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Minimum 5–8 years of experience as a Project Engineer in aluminum, façade, glazing, or architectural metal works.
