Production Manager

The ProductionManager will be responsible for the overall planning, coordination, supervision, and execution of all manufacturing and engineering activities within the factory. The successful candidate will oversee CNC machining, fabrication, laser cutting, assembly, production planning, engineering design, estimation, quality control, dispatch, and customer coordination while ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, within budget, and on schedule.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduction & Operations

• Plan, organize and oversee daily production activities.
• Manage CNC machining, fabrication, laser cutting, assembly and conventional machining operations.
• Monitor production schedules and ensure on-time completion of projects.
• Allocate jobs and resources efficiently to maximize productivity.
• Monitor work-in-progress (WIP) and resolve production bottlenecks.
• Ensure efficient utilization of manpower, machinery and materials.
• Supervise all production engineers, draftsmen, supervisors, operators and shop floor personnel.

Engineering & Design

• Prepare and review 2D and 3D CAD models and engineering drawings.
• Prepare fabrication drawings, machining drawings, assembly drawings and detailed manufacturing documentation.
• Develop Bills of Materials (BOMs) and manufacturing process plans.
• Review customer drawings and determine suitable manufacturing methods.
• Support reverse engineering and product development activities.

Estimation & Costing

• Prepare and review machining and fabrication cost estimations.
• Calculate machining time, fabrication hours, material requirements and manufacturing costs.
• Review quotations before submission to customers.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.

Project & Customer Management

• Coordinate directly with customers on technical requirements and project updates.
• Resolve technical and production-related customer issues.
• Ensure customer specifications and quality requirements are achieved.
• Coordinate project execution from order confirmation through final delivery.

Quality, Inspection & Dispatch

• Monitor production quality throughout the manufacturing process.
• Conduct final inspections before dispatch.
• Coordinate delivery schedules and ensure timely dispatch of finished products.
• Ensure compliance with company quality and safety standards.

Coordination & Leadership

• Coordinate closely with Procurement, Stores, Quality, Sales and Accounts departments.
• Lead, mentor and develop engineering and production personnel.
• Establish production priorities and monitor departmental performance.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures and best manufacturing practices.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, quality and efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 5 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Strong experience in CNC machining, heavy fabrication and industrial manufacturing.
• Excellent understanding of machining processes, fabrication methods and engineering drawings.
• Experience in production planning, scheduling and resource allocation.
• Strong knowledge of machining and fabrication cost estimation.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or other equivalent 3D CAD software.
• Ability to prepare and review 2D and 3D manufacturing drawings.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• UAE/GCC manufacturing experience will be an added advantage.
