CNC Programmer & Operator – Woodworking / Joinery

We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer & Operator to join our joinery manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating advanced CNC woodworking machinery, including a CNC nesting router, 6-side CNC drilling and milling machine (double-head), and supporting automated production processes.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in CNC programming, panel processing, production optimization, and quality control within a furniture or joinery manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create CNC programs from shop drawings and production files using relevant softwares.
• Program and operate CNC nesting machines for cutting, routing, grooving, and machining wood-based panels.
• Program and operate a 6-side CNC drilling and milling machine (double-head) for horizontal and vertical drilling, routing, and machining operations.
• Optimize nesting layouts and machining programs to maximize material utilization and production efficiency.
• Set up tooling, machine parameters, and perform test runs.
• Read and interpret joinery shop drawings, cutting lists, and production documentation.
• Monitor machining quality and ensure finished components meet required specifications.
• Troubleshoot programming and machining issues to minimize downtime.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and ensure equipment is kept in good working condition.
• Coordinate with the design, production, and installation teams to meet project schedules.
• Maintain production records and support continuous process improvement.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in CNC programming and operation within the woodworking or joinery industry.
• Experience with CNC nesting routers and 6-side CNC drilling/machining centers.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software used for woodworking CNC programming.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, joinery, and shop drawings.
• Strong understanding of panel optimization, tooling, machining strategies, and production workflows.
• Experience working with MDF, plywood, melamine, veneer, HPL, and solid wood.
• Knowledge of CNC machine calibration, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
• Good problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in modular furniture, custom furniture, or architectural joinery manufacturing.
• Familiarity with production optimization and lean manufacturing practices.
• Knowledge of edge banding processes and machining sequences.
• Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
