Job Summary

The AV Project Supervisor/Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and executing Audio Visual system integration projects. The role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to technical specifications, quality standards, and client requirements. The position involves managing site teams, subcontractors, installation activities, testing, commissioning, and project documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management & Coordination:

* Plan and manage AV project execution from initiation to handover.

* Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.

* Review project specifications, drawings, and scope of work.

* Monitor project schedules and ensure timely completion of milestones.

* Prepare project progress reports and update management regularly.

* Attend site meetings and coordinate project activities with stakeholders.

  • Site Supervision:

* Supervise AV technicians, electricians, and subcontractors during installation.

* Ensure installations comply with approved shop drawings and manufacturer guidelines.

* Monitor manpower allocation and productivity on site.

* Conduct site inspections to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to project requirements.

* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and site regulations.

  • Technical Responsibilities:

* Review AV system designs, rack layouts, cable schedules, and installation drawings.

* Support installation of: Audio Systems, Video Conferencing Systems, LED Displays and Video Walls, Digital Signage Systems, Projection Systems, Control and Automation Systems, Background Music Systems, and Public Address Systems.

* Troubleshoot technical issues during installation and commissioning.

* Coordinate testing, commissioning, and system integration activities.

* Verify system performance and functionality before client handover.

  • Documentation & Reporting:

* Prepare material requests and site requirements.

* Maintain project records, site reports, and installation checklists.

* Review and submit as-built drawings and handover documentation.

* Track project variations and additional work requests.

* Ensure all project documentation is completed and properly archived.

  • Client Handover & Training:

* Conduct system demonstrations and user training.

* Support final inspections and project handover processes.

* Address client concerns and coordinate resolution of defects during the warranty period.

Requirements:

* Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, AV Technology, or related field.

* 3–7 years of experience in AV System Integration projects.

* Strong knowledge of AV technologies, installation practices, and commissioning procedures.

* Experience managing multiple AV projects simultaneously.

* Ability to read and interpret AV schematics, rack elevations, and system drawings.

* Proficiency in project documentation and reporting.

Preferred Certifications:

* Manufacturer certifications (e.g., Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS, Biamp).

* AVIXA CTS, CTS-I, or CTS-D certification.

* PMP or project management training is an advantage.
