Job summary:

Lead AMI technology strategy and architecture across smart metering ecosystems, ensuring robust integration between meters, communication modules, and utility platforms. Deep expertise in smart meter data models, DLMS/COSEM, IDIS frameworks, and AMI communication technologies including RF Mesh, PLC, and cellular networks. Experienced in working with meter OEMs and vendors to drive interoperability, compliance, testing, and successful large-scale AMI deployments.

General Responsibilities:

Policy, Procedures, Process and Systems

  • Ensure the compliance of organization’s policy, systems, processes, procedures, and controls in line withgroup delegation of authority policy so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service in a consistent manner.

Reporting

  • Ensure that all reports are completed timelyand comply with the business policies and standards.
  • Manage the preparation of periodical management reports andprogress reports to keep thebusiness senior management informed about the progress of various initiatives and to facilitate decision-making.
  • Comply with organization’s requirements in a timely manner.

Job Specific Responsibilities

  • :Lead AMI technology strategy, architecture, and implementation across smart meters, communication modules, and utility system integrations, ensuring end-to-end interoperability and scalability
  • .Strong expertise in smart meter data models, DLMS/COSEM, Secure and encrypted communications, IDIS frameworks, OBIS codes, OMS, Wireless Mbus, meter profiles, registers, events, and data exchange structures, with ability to translate meter-level requirements into system-level design
  • .Evaluate and optimize AMI communication technologies and network topologies (RF Mesh, PLC, Cellular, NB-IoT/LTE-M, Wi-SUN, etc.), including performance analysis, selection, and integration of communication solutions
  • .Hands-on experience working with smart meter OEMs and technology vendors for meter integration, protocol compliance, testing, troubleshooting, firmware/configuration management, and large-scale AMI rollout support
