Business Data Analyst

Nagarro is looking for an experienced Data Business Analyst to join a high‑impact data transformation engagement within the financial services sector based out of Abu Dhabi.

You’ll be part of a specialist consulting team delivering a modern data platform across cloud and on‑prem environments, with a strong focus on data products and data governance. This role sits at the intersection of business, technology, and regulatory requirements, working closely with senior stakeholders and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and define business and technical requirements across a modern data platform
• Facilitate workshops and translate complex requirements into clear deliverables (BRDs, user stories, process flows)
• Support the design and rollout of data products (ownership, SLAs, data contracts)
• Contribute to data governance frameworks (quality, lineage, classification, policies)
• Act as a key liaison between business stakeholders and delivery teams in an Agile environment

Technical Platform Knowledge

• Working understanding of Databricks / Lakehouse concepts (e.g. Delta Lake, Unity Catalog)
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure data services (Data Factory, Data Lake, Synapse, Purview or similar)
• Exposure to on‑prem data platforms such as Cloudera (or equivalent)
• Understanding of data governance / catalog tools such as Informatica Axon, Collibra, Alation, or Purview
• Appreciation of how cloud, data engineering, and governance layers integrate within modern data ecosystems

Skills & Experience

• 5+ years as a Business Analyst with strong experience in data platforms, analytics, or data governance
• Proven ability to work across business and technical teams in complex programmes
• Experience defining requirements for data governance and/or data product models
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Financial services experience beneficial but not essential
