Our client is a fast-growing European technology company operating at the intersection of fintech, mobility, and B2B S aaS. Their platform enables seamless payments and mobility services across multiple European markets, connecting businesses, partners, and users through a rapidly expanding ecosystem of integrations.
With a strong focus on innovation, scalability, and AI-driven solutions, the company is building a unified integration platform that connects fleet management systems, ERP platforms, fintech products, mobility services, OEMs, and other partner ecosystems. Their technology landscape includes cloud-native microservices, event-driven architectures, modern frontend applications, and advanced AI tooling. They are now looking for a System Architect to shape the technical foundation of their next growth phase and establish a scalable integration platform that enables rapid partner onboarding and seamless ecosystem expansion .
Responsibilities:
- Design and evolve a unified integration platform supporting APIs, Webhooks, embedded components, SDKs, OAuth flows, and batch integrations.
- Define scalable onboarding processes, sandbox environments, automated testing strategies, and self-service partner capabilities.
- Architect data flow patterns across event-driven systems, analytics platforms, and internal services, ensuring consistency, observability, and scalability.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, QA, DevOps, AI, and Business teams to align platform architecture with company objectives.
- Design partner-facing experiences including developer portals, integration playgrounds, self-service tools, and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Drive AI adoption across the platform, including AI-assisted onboarding, intelligent troubleshooting, AI-powered support experiences, and AI-ready documentation.
- Establish architectural standards, decision records, governance processes, and non-functional requirements covering security, scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Review solution designs and ensure all partner integrations align with a unified, reusable architectural approach.
- Build prototypes and MVPs to validate concepts before scaling them into production-ready platform capabilities
Requirements:
- 7+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 3 years in architecture, technical leadership, or a similar role.
- Proven experience designing and building integration platforms that connect diverse external systems through APIs, Webhooks, SDKs, embedded components, and batch processing.
- Strong cloud-native expertise with Kubernetes and at least one major cloud platform (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
- Deep understanding of microservices, event-driven architectures, messaging systems (Kafka or equivalent), API design, and distributed systems.
- Broad technical knowledge across backend technologies, frontend frameworks, databases, and modern software development practices.
- Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle, including architecture, development, testing, deployment, monitoring, security, and operations.
- Practical experience with AI tools and AI-augmented systems, including AI coding assistants and modern AI architecture patterns.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Hands-on mindset with a track record of building prototypes, validating ideas through code, and driving implementation
