The Company

As Mermec Deutschland GmbH, the German subsidiary of Compagnie des Signaux in France, part of the MERMEC Group, which operates worldwide, MERMEC Deutschland works closely with international teams and contributes to cross-border railway signalling and digitalisation projects, particularly within the DACH region.

What we are looking for

As a Project Engineer Telecommunications, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of railway infrastructure projects by coordinating telecommunication-related engineering activities across different project phases. In this senior position, you will contribute your technical expertise to complex railway projects and act as a key interface between internal teams, customers, suppliers and subcontractors. You will help ensure that telecommunication systems and related deliverables are implemented in line with project quality, safety, time and cost requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage telecommunication engineering activities and related system interfaces within railway infrastructure projects
• Take responsibility for telecommunication-related work packages across planning, implementation, integration and commissioning phases
• Ensure the achievement of project targets regarding quality, schedule and cost
• Act as a key technical interface between project management, engineering teams, customers, suppliers, subcontractors and external project partners
• Review and assess technical documentation, system specifications, interface descriptions and other project deliverables related to telecommunication systems
• Identify project risks and define appropriate mitigation measures
• Ensure compliance with applicable standards, regulations and customer requirements
• Coordinate technical discussions and interface activities with internal and external stakeholders
• Support installation, testing, commissioning and acceptance activities where required
• Contribute to reporting, documentation and change management activities throughout the project lifecycle
