Systems Engineer

Our client is a German aerospace engineering company focused on large deployable space reflectors, lightweight space structures, and reconfigurable antenna systems for satellites and other space applications. It was founded in 2012 as a spin-off from the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and is based in Garching near Munich, Germany. They are looking for a senior Systems Engineer who has at least 10 years of experience in system/design engineering in European space or aerospace industry.

Key Responsbilities

• Provide end-to-end technical support for space antennas and deployable antenna reflectors throughout all project phases
• Lead / contribute to system engineering activities, including configuration and requirements management
• Deliver system engineering documentation and support internal & external project reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, etc.)
• Coordinate integration, test and verification of sub-assemblies into complex antenna systems and onto spacecraft
• Guide multi-disciplinary teams (mechanical, structural, thermal, RF, electrical, power) in developing detailed test plans & procedures
• Support root-cause analysis and corrective-action activities
• Interface with MAIT, design, analysis and purchasing teams to ensure technical excellence

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 10+ years system / design engineering in the European space (or aerospace) industry
• Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering or similar
• Full life-cycle experience with space-related antenna systems (design → analysis → manufacturing → test → delivery)
• Hands-on integration, test & verification of complex antenna structures on spacecraft
• Proven leadership of cross-disciplinary technical teams through major reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, I&T)
• Expertise in configuration & requirements management; DOORS & RVTM experience
• Root Cause Corrective Action methodologies
• English C1 proficiency
• Experience with large deployable structures beyond antennas
