Who will you join?

As Allianz Group, we are taking urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts. Our ambitious for our own operations is to reduce GHG emissions arising from Allianz sites and activities in over 70 markets by year-end 2029 by -65%.

Allianz has established a dedicated unit – Group Sustainable Operations - to align the strategic approach across all Allianz entities, with the aim to reduce their environmental footprint and accelerate impact. The team works closely with relevant stakeholders, departments and Allianz entities worldwide to ensure the achievement of Allianz environmental targets for operations and the implementation of the Group operations environmental strategy.

The Sustainability Manager will steer and manage the environmental reporting systems and tools for Allianz Own Operations, ensuring full alignment with CSRD requirements, internal methodologies, and applicable governance and compliance standards.

How can you make an impact?

You will:

  • Steer and manage the environmental reporting tooling for Own Operations within Group Sustainable Operations at Allianz SE, in close coordination with the Content Owner for Environmental Reporting for Own Operations, IT and reporting stakeholders
  • Coordinate the preparation, collection and communication of environmental data for Allianz Group, including data consolidation and analysis, leveraging Group reporting tools and technical platforms to ensure consistency and quality
  • Manage the audit processes on Group level related to environmental reporting systems and internal tooling, including audit readiness and remediation tracking
  • Coordinate and oversee Renewable Electricity Certificates procurement, validation, and reporting and Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) for Own Operations
  • Engage with the community of Local Environmental Officers (LEOs) across Allianz entities, enabling capability building, knowledge exchange, and consistent reporting practices
  • Contribute to the development of our reporting guidelines and methodologies, in alignment with international standards and applicable regulations (e.g. CSRD, GHG Protocol)
  • Conduct research and benchmarking analysis of peers and translate best practices into key insights
  • Develop and prepare Management presentations and communication on reporting results
  • Work with a diverse group of stakeholders internally and externally

What are you made of?

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong experience in environmental IT and tooling applications
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English required; German or another European language is a plus
  • Strong data management and analytical skills
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to drive several projects at once
  • Strong ability to think and act independently and to quickly adapt to new problem settings and situations
  • Proactive, flexible, and energetic team player with a strong personal interest in sustainability topics such as climate change, environmental protection, non-financial reporting
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
  • Experience in data analytics (e.g. PowerBI) is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

  • University Bachelor or Master's Degree in the field of sustainability, environmental management, business administration, finance or similar
  • Deep understanding of environmental reporting and implications of regulatory requirements connected to the relevant metrics
  • Knowledge of sustainability standards and regulations (e.g. CSRD, GHG Protocol, SBTi...)
  • Ability to work in virtual and international team set-ups and capable to build collaborative working relationships
  • Excellent project management skills, with proven track record in managing global complex projects with senior stakeholders
