Planning Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to join our project team in Qatar - Ras Laffan. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, updating, monitoring, and controlling project schedules while providing accurate progress reporting, schedule analysis, and forecasting for large-scale construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6
• Monitor project progress and analyze schedule performance
• Prepare progress reports, delay analysis, and recovery plans
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely execution of activities
• Identify schedule risks and recommend mitigation measures
• Support project management with planning, resource allocation, and reporting requirements
• Ensure compliance with project milestones and contractual obligations
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders regarding planning and scheduling matters

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline
• Minimum 8-12 years of planning and scheduling experience in large-scale building construction projects
• Proven experience in residential, accommodation, mixed-use, institutional, or similar developments
• Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 (Advanced Level)
• Demonstrated experience in successfully delivering projects of comparable scale and complexity
• Previous experience in Qatar is preferred; GCC experience will also be considered
• MMUP/UPDA registration is preferred for candidates currently in Qatar and mandatory where applicable
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, project controls, and scheduling principles
• Familiarity with Qatar Energy requirements, major clients, consultants, and local authority regulations is an advantage
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal

Preference will be given to candidates who are currently available in the UAE for face-to-face interviews with the client.
