Interior Design Draftsman

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Interior Design Draftsman with a minimum of 4 years of UAE experience in the interior fit-out industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate technical drawings, coordinating with designers and project teams, and ensuring all drawings comply with local authority requirements and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed interior fit-out shop drawings, construction drawings, and as-built drawings.
• Develop furniture layout plans, reflected ceiling plans, flooring layouts, joinery details, elevations, and sections.
• Produce detailed joinery and millwork drawings for production and installation.
• Coordinate with interior designers, architects, MEP engineers, and project managers to ensure design accuracy.
• Revise drawings based on design changes, client comments, and site conditions.
• Conduct site visits for measurements and verification when required.
• Ensure drawings comply with UAE building regulations, authority standards, and project specifications.
• Prepare material schedules, BOQs, and drawing submissions.
• Maintain organized project documentation and drawing revisions.
• Support project execution by providing technical drafting assistance throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of UAE experience as an Interior Design Draftsman in the interior fit-out industry.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory).
• Working knowledge of SketchUp, Revit, 3ds Max, and Adobe Photoshop is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of interior fit-out detailing, joinery, and construction methodologies.
• Familiarity with UAE authority standards and approval procedures.
• Excellent knowledge of materials, finishes, and production drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Valid UAE driving license is an advantage.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in commercial, retail, hospitality, and residential fit-out projects.
• Ability to prepare high-quality shop drawings with minimal supervision.
• Strong coordination skills with site teams and consultants.
• Knowledge of BIM and Revit is an added advantage.
