Job Description As a Trade Compliance Analyst II here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, which is essential for the smooth flow of cross-border transactions. By developing and implementing trade compliance policies and procedures, you will help minimize risks and avoid penalties related to import and export violations.

Responsibilities Key Responsibilities
- Customs clearance: Ensuring the correct movement of goods (import, export, transit).
- Compliance: Monitoring compliance with customs, foreign trade and prohibition regulations.
- Documentation: Monitoring and archiving customs documents.
- Tariff classification: Providing support with the classification of goods under the customs tariff.
- Liaison role: Point of contact for customs authorities, freight forwarders and internal departments.
- Process optimisation: Further development of internal customs procedures.
- Risk management: Preparing for and supporting customs inspections, as well as delivering internal training.
- Authorisations: Ensuring compliance with and monitoring all customs authorisations.
- AEO status: Responsibility for Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) status.
Qualifications Job requirements:
- University degree or commercial vocational training with certified further education in the field of foreign trade and customs
- Several years of professional experience in customs and foreign trade law.
- Proficient use of MS Office and customs-related software, ideally with experience of SAP/R3 or S/4HANA and GTS
- In-depth specialist knowledge of
- Prohibitions and restrictions
- Incoterms®
- ATLAS procedure
- Various customs procedures (transit procedure, inward processing, outward processing, etc.)
- Union Customs Code and its implementing regulations
- Preferential tariff law
- Classification of goods in the customs tariff
- Independent, structured and team-focused way of working
- Quick learner with a focus on the essentials
- Very good command of German and English
