Events Structural Draftsman

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Structural Draftsman to join our Events Production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing structural drawings, scaffolding layouts, fabrication drawings, and supporting structural calculations for temporary event structures. The candidate should have experience in event production, staging, scaffolding systems, and temporary structural design while ensuring compliance with UAE safety standards and engineering requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed 2D and 3D structural drawings for temporary event structures, stages, trusses, scaffolding, platforms, grandstands, exhibition stands, and custom fabrication.
• Develop scaffolding layout drawings, elevation drawings, section details, and connection details.
• Prepare fabrication and shop drawings for steel structures and event installations.
• Assist structural engineers in preparing design calculations and structural analysis for temporary structures.
• Perform scaffolding load calculations based on applicable standards and project requirements.
• Prepare structural calculation reports and supporting documentation for approvals.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, production, and site teams to ensure design accuracy.
• Revise drawings based on site conditions, client requirements, and engineering comments.
• Ensure all drawings comply with local regulations, international safety standards, and company procedures.
• Maintain drawing revisions and documentation throughout project execution.
• Support site teams during installation by providing technical clarification when required.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in structural drafting, preferably within the events, exhibition, staging, or scaffolding industry.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory).
• Experience with Tekla Structures, Revit, SolidWorks, or similar structural drafting software is an advantage.
• Familiarity with STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, or other structural analysis software is preferred.
• Understanding of structural calculations, load distribution, wind loading, and safety factors.
• Knowledge of international scaffolding standards and temporary works regulations.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
