MEP Estimation Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented MEP Estimator to join our contracting team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works, reviewing tender documents, performing quantity take-offs, and coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive and timely bid submissions.

Key Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing works.
• Perform quantity take-offs from tender drawings and specifications.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare commercial and technical bid submissions.
• Coordinate with the engineering, procurement, and project teams during the tendering process.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities through value engineering.
• Analyze project risks and prepare competitive pricing.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and respond to tender clarifications.
• Maintain estimation records and update pricing databases.
• Ensure all tender submissions are completed accurately and within deadlines.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as an MEP Estimator in a contracting company, preferably in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems, materials, and installation methods.
• Experience in estimating commercial, residential, and industrial projects.
• Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, and estimation software.
• Familiarity with UAE construction standards and local authority requirements.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tender deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• UAE/GCC contracting experience.
• Knowledge of local suppliers and subcontractors.
• Experience with cost control and procurement coordination.

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
