The Sales Manager West Europe is responsible for developing and expanding Oil Dynamics' business activities within the assigned region. The role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, maintaining and growing customer relationships, and promoting Oil Dynamics' products and solutions for the oil& gas, water and geothermal industries.

The position serves as the primary commercial contact for customers within the region and works closely with Engineering, Project Management, Operations and Field Service to ensure successful project execution and long-term customer satisfaction.

Location is Heidelberg, Germany under permanent contract.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned with company objectives.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
  • Establish, maintain and strengthen relationships with customers, operators, service companies and other industry stakeholders.
  • Conduct customer visits, presentations and commercial negotiations.
  • Prepare quotations and commercial proposals in cooperation with internal departments.
  • Lead contract negotiations and support the successful closing of sales opportunities.
  • Represent the company at customer meetings, conferences, exhibitions and industry events.

Account Management

  • Maintain regular contact with existing customers and key accounts.
  • Identify opportunities for repeat business, upgrades and additional services.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and support the resolution of commercial issues.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the sales process.

Market Intelligence

  • Monitor market developments, customer activities and industry trends.
  • Identify competitive threats and business opportunities.
  • Provide regular market feedback and sales forecasts to management.

Internal Collaboration

  • Work closely with Application Engineers, Engineering, Operations, Project Management and Field Service teams.
  • Support the development of technical and commercial solutions tailored to customer requirements.
  • Ensure effective communication between customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of sales processes and customer experience.
  • Preparing progress reports based on company requirements for Sales Director.

Authority

  • Conduct commercial negotiations within approved company guidelines.
  • Prepare and submit sales forecasts and regional business plans.
  • Recommend pricing strategies and commercial approaches.
  • Represent the company externally within the assigned region.

Ihr Profil

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a comparable qualification.
  • Alternative technical or commercial education combined with relevant industry experience may be considered.

Experience

  • Experience in technical sales, business development or account management.
  • Experience within the energy sector selling industrial equipment, pump systems or related industries is required.
  • Experience managing international customer relationships.
  • Proven track record in developing new business opportunities and achieving sales targets.
  • Experience with ESP technology is considered an advantage.
  • Experience within Geothermal industry or Oil&Gas industry is considered an advantage.

Skills

  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to understand technical products and customer requirements.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented working style.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CRM / ERP systems.
  • Fluent German and English required (mandatory).
  • Additional languages, e.g. French, Spanish, Italian are considered an advantage.
