Job Description – Group Finance Controller

Position Summary

The Group Finance Controller is the financial steward , responsible for consolidating accounts, ensuring financial integrity, and driving profitability across all brands, outlets, and the Central Kitchen. This position is pivotal in transitioning the company into a corporate, data-driven structure, with clear visibility and control over financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Reporting & Consolidation

  • Deliver accurate and timely consolidated financial statements across different brands, branches, and CK.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts with variance analysis against budget and forecast.

2. Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning

  • Lead annual budget preparation and rolling forecasts by brand and department.
  • Provide scenario analyses to support management decision-making.

3. Controls & Compliance

  • Implement strong internal controls over cash, payments, and financial approvals.
  • Ensure compliance with Omani accounting standards, VAT, and regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with auditors, banks, and tax authorities.

4. Cashflow & Working Capital Management

  • Monitor cashflow and ensure liquidity to support operations and expansion.
  • Optimize receivables, payables, and inventory turnover.

5. Team Leadership

  • Supervise accountants and finance staff; coach and build competencies.
  • Work closely with Procurement, HR, and Operations to ensure integrated financial oversight.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Accuracy of month-end closing
  • Budget variance maintained
  • Timely submission of audited accounts.
  • Working capital cycle
  • Financial dashboards delivered to CEO monthly.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA/ACCA/CMA preferred.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of finance experience, with 5+ years in senior hospitality F&B.
  • Strong knowledge of Oman VAT and regulatory compliance.
  • ERP/financial system expertise.

Reporting Line

  • Reports to: CEO / General Manager
  • Supervises: Finance & Accounts Team (Accountants, Payroll Officer)

Pay: AED18,000.00 - AED20,000.00 per month
