As we expand our presence in Germany, we are looking for a highly motivated Product Intelligence Specialist to serve as the inbound intelligence engine of our Product Management team. This role supports the full data-to-insight cycle: acquiring and processing German automotive market data, designing and executing consumer research programmes, and translating both into concise, actionable intelligence that directly shapes portfolio decisions, pricing strategy, and product positioning. Drawing on market data and customer insight, the role generates future scenarios to isolate risks and opportunities in the current product and business plan, supporting proactive rather than reactive decision-making.
🔎 Your Responsibilities
Market Intelligence
- Own the market data layer – build and maintain monthly segment dashboards tracking volume, powertrain mix, pricing and market share by brand and model
- Author weekly and monthly market intelligence briefs : segment trends, competitor moves, regulatory and policy developments for senior internal and HQ stakeholders
- Monitor competitor pricing changes, trim restructures and model year updates ; translate findings into strategic implications for pricing and portfolio decisions
- Prepare competitive specification and feature benchmarks feeding directly into Portfolio Strategy, Product Definition and Sales Enablement
Voice of Customer
- Design, brief and manage consumer research programmes : Quantitative and qualitative studies, product clinics, and early-buyer studies from end to end
- Execute price sensitivity, semantic differential, conjoint and competitive basket analyses ; translate outputs into clear product requirement and positioning briefs
- Synthesise qualitative and quantitative findings into German customer requirement briefs for the Portfolio Strategy and Product Definition pillars
- Build and maintain a living Voice of Customer tracker – a structured signal database updated each research cycle and referenced in every product review
- Feed structured customer insights directly to HQ for input into future model and feature planning cycles
Competitive & Segment Benchmarking
- Track and document competitor product lifecycle events : Price changes, trim additions, feature updates, powertrain introductions and phase-outs across the German market segment
- Build segment trend analyses on powertrain shifts, body type, equipment level and price band movement
- Identify white-space opportunities and portfolio gaps through structured product-market fit analysis across target segments
Cross-Pillar Data Support
- Support price and trim-option decisions with data packages: competitive price positioning, willingness-to-pay bands, and feature prioritisation rankings
- Translate German market data into HQ-ready – adapting reporting structure, framing and granularity for Chinese product planning counterparts
- Present market and customer intelligence at the weekly cross-functional alignment meeting ; flag developments requiring immediate strategy review
- Support ad-hoc intelligence requests as they arise during the launch phase
✅ Your Profile
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Automotive Engineering, Market Research, Statistics, or a related field
- Master's degree is a plus
Professional Experience
- 3–7 years of experience in market intelligence, consumer insights, or product planning, preferably in the automotive or EV industry
