Procurement Engineer - Data Centre

The Procurement Engineer is responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process for data centre projects, ensuring timely sourcing of materials, equipment, and services in line with project specifications, budgets, and schedules. The role requires strong technical knowledge of data centre infrastructure and effective vendor management.

• Manage procurement activities for data centre projects including electrical, mechanical, and IT infrastructure.
• Prepare RFQs, review technical specifications, and coordinate with engineering and project teams.
• Evaluate vendor quotations (technical & commercial) and recommend suitable suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with vendors.
• Ensure timely issuance of Purchase Orders (POs) in line with project timelines.
• Coordinate with suppliers to track order status, delivery, and resolve any delays.
• Maintain the approved vendor list and develop new vendors for specialized data centre equipment.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and project requirements.
• Work closely with QA/QC teams to ensure materials meet required standards.
• Monitor market trends, pricing, and supply risks for critical equipment.
• Handle documentation, contracts, and procurement reports.
