What you can expect

Role Overview In this role, you will act as the SAP PP (Production Planning – Process Industries) expert for CordenPharma, supporting and further developing manufacturing processes across our global SAP landscape. You work closely with Production, IT, and business stakeholders to ensure stable daily operations while continuously optimizing and standardizing PP‑related processes. With a strong focus on S/4HANA, SAP PP‑PI, system integration (e.g. EWM), and GMP‑compliant validated systems, you play a key role in enabling efficient, compliant, and future‑ready manufacturing operations within a regulated pharmaceutical environment.

Strategic

• Act as the SAP Manufacturing (PP‑PI) subject‑matter expert for all CordenPharma SAP locations
• Design and continuously improve SAP usage to optimize, further develop, and standardize manufacturing business processes in close cooperation with SAP colleagues
• Contribute to the design and evolution of the SAP S/4HANA template
• Support or lead sub‑projects within SAP S/4HANA rollout initiatives
• Ensure compliance with GMP and Computer System Validation (CSV) requirements
• Advise and support relevant stakeholders with a solution‑oriented and business‑focused mindset

Operational

• Ensure stable daily operations, including 2nd‑level support (incident and change management)
• Manage requirements end‑to‑end: analysis, process modeling, solution design, and SAP customizing, in close collaboration with process owners, key users, ABAP developers, and external consultants (3rd‑level support)
• Execute testing activities and documentation in accordance with CSV requirements
• Create SAP training materials and documentation, and organize and conduct end‑user trainings
• Collaborate closely with Production departments to translate business requirements into effective system solutions

To successfully master this role, we are looking for the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Informatics or a comparable qualification acquired through education and/or professional experience
• Couple years of relevant professional experience in SAP Manufacturing environments
• Strong hands‑on knowledge of SAP PP‑PI, including customizing, and integration with EWM for inbound and outbound manufacturing processes
• Solid understanding of manufacturing business processes and adjacent systems such as MES and LIMS
• Proven project management experience in cross‑functional and regulated environments
• Excellent communication skills, a goal‑oriented mindset, ability to work to deadlines, and motivate stakeholders
• Fluent in German and English
• Experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including qualification and validation activities, is a plus
