We are urgently seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Planning Engineer (Civil) to join our consultancy team for a premier villa-based development project in Dubai. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both structural civil works. You will be responsible for the end-to-end scheduling, progress monitoring, and resource optimization required to deliver this project on time, within budget, and to top-tier quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Planning & Scheduling: Develop and manage detailed baseline project schedules using Primavera P6 (preferred) or MS Project. Establish clear Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), define critical paths, and map key project milestones.
  • Progress Monitoring & Reporting: Track daily/weekly site progress against the baseline. Prepare and present comprehensive progress reports, delay analyses, and recovery/mitigation plans for management and clients.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the central planning hub. Coordinate seamlessly with Project Managers, site engineers, procurement teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure construction sequences align perfectly.
  • Risk & Claim Management: Proactively identify critical path deviations, potential bottlenecks, and project risks. Support the commercial team with documentation for variation orders, claim management, and Extension of Time (EOT) requests.
  • Cost & Resource Optimization: Monitor budget allocations, forecast labor/material/equipment requirements, and assist in project cash flow analysis to prevent cost overruns.
  • Compliance & Engineering Oversight: Maintain meticulous records of schedule approvals and variations. Conduct periodic site visits to assess feasibility, verify physical progress, and ensure contractual and safety compliance.Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related engineering field.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 to 10 years of solid experience in construction project planning, with a mandatory minimum of 5 years working within the UAE.
  • Project Background: Proven track record in high-end residential/villa projects, including associated internal roads and infrastructure networks.
  • Software Proficiency: Expert-level knowledge of Primavera P6 and MS Excel. Familiarity with MS Project and AutoCAD is highly desirable.
  • Core Competencies: Strong command of the Critical Path Method (CPM), construction sequencing, and risk troubleshooting. Excellent communication, negotiation, and teamwork skills.
