Middle Test Engineer:

Within the Aerospace & Defence division, the selected candidate will be involved in testing, validation, and verification activities for aeronautical systems, contributing to high-tech projects in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and key clients.

The role involves active participation in project activities, with responsibility for managing test operations and interacting with stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities

Define test specifications, plans, and procedures

Execute and supervise tests on aeronautical systems

Analyze, interpret, and validate test data

Prepare technical documentation and test reports

Provide technical coordination of external suppliers

Contribute to the evolution of test methods and tools (automation, data analysis)

Support certification and regulatory compliance activities

Requirements

Degree in Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields

Experience in test engineering within the aerospace sector

Experience in defining test specifications and test plans

Experience in performing structural, environmental, vibration, and functional tests

Skills in measurement data analysis

Experience in drafting technical documentation

Knowledge of aeronautical systems

Technical Skills

Use of data acquisition systems (DAQ) and measurement instrumentation

Experience with test benches, jigs & tools

Use of data analysis tools (MATLAB, Python, advanced Excel, or equivalents)

Familiarity with test automation and scripting (Python, LabVIEW, or similar)

Knowledge of aerospace standards (e.g., DO-160, MIL-STD, or equivalent)

Ability to interpret technical specifications and engineering drawings

Use of requirement and test management tools (e.g., DOORS, Polarion, Jira)

Type: Permanent

Gross salary: €71,000 – €85,000

Full-time

Hybrid/remote working model

The contractual framework will be defined during the selection process based on the candidate’s profile and in accordance with IG Metall standards.
