Lead Mobile Robotics Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE

In this role, you will design and deliver advanced robotics solutions across industries such as healthcare, retail, and automotive. You will work within SoftServe’s Robotics Group, contributing to mobile robot systems and automation platforms from concept through real-world deployment. Your work will directly impact the development of scalable, intelligent robotic solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and develop software for mobile robotic systems, including ground, aerial, and underwater platforms
• Drive end-to-end development of robotics solutions, from prototyping to production-ready systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated, scalable automation solutions
• Implement robotics algorithms for perception, trajectory planning, kinematics, and obstacle avoidance
• Integrate robotic systems with cloud services and distributed architectures
• Validate solutions through simulation tools and real-world testing environments
• Design and optimize robotics architectures, ensuring performance, reliability, and maintainability

REQUIREMENTS

• Strong proficiency in C/C++ and Python with 5+ years of software development experience
• Solid background in robotics systems, including Mobile Robots, AMRs, AGVs, AVs, or drones, with hands-on experience using ROS/ROS2
• Practical experience with simulation and visualization tools such as Gazebo, Nvidia Isaac, RViz, or similar
• Good understanding of robotics domains such as perception, trajectory planning, kinematics, and control systems
• Hands-on experience with CUDA/GPU acceleration and libraries such as OpenCV and PCL
• Experience working with Linux environments and designing HW/SW system architectures
• Familiarity with CI/CD, testing, and deployment practices for complex systems
• Effective communication skills in English and German (upper-intermediate or higher) in a distributed environment SoftServe is an equal opportunity employer.
