About the Role

VX Studio Consultancy is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Structural Engineer (Site-Based) to oversee structural engineering activities on-site, ensure compliance with project specifications, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams throughout the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and extensive experience in supervising structural works for construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor all structural works on-site to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and relevant standards.
• Review structural drawings, calculations, shop drawings, and material submittals.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders.
• Conduct site inspections and identify any structural issues, proposing appropriate solutions.
• Ensure that all construction activities comply with local regulations, quality standards, and health and safety requirements.
• Review contractor progress and monitor project schedules.
• Attend site meetings and prepare technical reports as required.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and site teams.
• Evaluate and resolve design discrepancies, clashes, and construction challenges.
• Ensure proper documentation of all structural engineering activities.
• Support project delivery within the approved timeline and budget.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 8–10 years of experience, with significant experience in site-based structural engineering roles.
• Experience working on residential, commercial, mixed-use, or high-rise projects.
• Strong knowledge of structural design principles, construction methodologies, and engineering standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and structural engineering software.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with UAE regulations and construction standards is preferred.
• Dubai Municipality accreditation or relevant UAE certifications are an advantage.
