Project Architect

HAOarchitect is a leading multidisciplinary design and engineering consultancy specializing in cutting-edge, high-end architectural projects. From luxury high-rises to complex structural landmarks, we push the boundaries of design innovation. We are looking for a highly skilled, proactive, and technically sound Senior Architect with 6 to 8 years of solid experience in the Dubai market to join our expanding team.

Job Purpose

As a Senior Architect, you will lead projects seamlessly across their entire lifecycle—from initial narrative-driven concept development to meticulous schematic design, construction documentation, and active site coordination. You will bridge the gap between creative design concepts and technically viable, code-compliant execution, driving our digital delivery workflows using advanced BIM methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design Development: Lead and develop projects from initial Concept Design through Schematic Design to full Detail Design packs, ensuring high-quality architectural execution.
• BIM & Software Production: Author, manage, and coordinate high-fidelity 3D models and extraction drawings utilizing Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD. Maintain strict adherence to office BIM standards and protocols.
• Local Authority Approvals: Navigate, prepare, and secure building permit approvals with thorough technical knowledge of local building codes (Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, Civil Defence, Nakheel, Dubai Holding, etc.).
• Site Coordination & Supervision: Conduct site visits, interface with contractors, review technical submittals, answer RFIs (Requests for Information), and resolve architectural site clashes to ensure design intent is perfectly met during construction.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Coordinate directly with clients, project managers, and internal multidisciplinary teams (Structural and MEP engineers) to ensure smooth project progression.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Experience: 6 to 8 years of post-graduate architectural experience, with a minimum of 4+ years explicitly based within the Dubai/UAE market.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (B.Arch) or equivalent from an accredited university.
• Professional Registration: Must hold a valid Society of Engineers (SOE) UAE card.
• Dubai Regulations: Proven track record of independently handling successful submittals and approvals through the Dubai Municipality (DM) and/or Trakhees systems.

Technical Skills & Competencies

• Advanced Software Proficiency: Expert-level mastery of Autodesk Revit (for complex BIM modeling, documentation, and coordination) and AutoCAD.
• Design & Presentation Tools: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign) and 3D visualization tools (SketchUp, Enscape, or Lumion) is highly advantageous.
• Technical Knowledge: Exceptional understanding of building materials, construction detailing, structural system integration, and advanced architectural drafting.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication, presentation, and leadership qualities. Ability to organize workflows and manage site pressures effectively.
