Security Consultant – Built Environment Risk & Resilience

Job Purpose

• Deliver consultancy and security services to AESG’s clients to exemplar levels of quality.
• Execution of projects.
• Assist in business development activities related to consultancy services.
• Enhance quality and efficiency of work and contribute to business/team development.

Qualification / Experience

• Degree or equivalent qualification in a security risk management or built environment discipline in security studies, physical security engineering, or a related field.

GENERAL EXPECTANCY

• Some experience and basic competencies demonstrated.
• Typically, in the early stages of their career.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation of Security Risk Assessments, Security Strategies, and other technical security consultancy reports.
• Assist in conducting threat, vulnerability, and risk assessments for projects within the built environment sector.
• Collect and analyse crime statistics, threat intelligence, and relevant data to support security assessments and recommendations.
• Conduct site surveys, inspections, and security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and existing security measures.
• Review architectural drawings, planning submissions, and design documentation to identify security risks and recommend mitigation measures.
• Coordinate with clients, authorities, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders to support project delivery and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, meeting minutes, and project documentation.
• Support senior consultants and project managers throughout all stages of project delivery.
• Participate in client meetings, workshops, design reviews, and multidisciplinary coordination activities.
• Assist in delivering projects within agreed timelines, quality standards, and client expectations.
• Support the preparation of project briefs, scopes of work, fee proposals, and tender submissions.
• Assist in the design and coordination of electronic and physical security systems including CCTV, Access Control, IDS, PIDS, and related security technologies.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP, ICT consultants, and project teams to integrate security requirements into project designs.
• Support construction, testing, commissioning, snagging, and handover activities to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Undertake technical work in accordance with relevant regulations, standards, and company procedures.
• Maintain awareness of emerging security threats, technologies, and regional regulatory requirements within the Middle East market.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, contractors, vendors, and industry stakeholders.
• Participate in Continuing Professional Development (CPD), training programmes, and professional certification initiatives.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes, quality systems, and technical standards.
• Demonstrate strong technical, analytical, organisational, communication, and presentation skills.
