📌 Artificial Intelligence Engineer - Dubai, UAE

About the Role

We're looking for an AI Engineer to build and own the systems that put intelligence at the core of the products we ship. This is not a support role. You'll design, deploy, and maintain production AI systems used by real clients across the GCC. From data ingestion and retrieval pipelines to inference APIs and model orchestration, you'll own the entire lifecycle and help shape product direction from day one.

You'll work directly with product, design, and engineering teams to build practical AI solutions that create measurable business value.

What You'll Do

• Design, deploy, and maintain end-to-end AI systems, from data ingestion to production inference APIs
• Build and optimize RAG pipelines, vector databases, and model orchestration workflows
• Evaluate, benchmark, and select models across text, vision, and multimodal use cases
• Architect reliable AI services with monitoring, observability, fallback mechanisms, and rate controls
• Collaborate closely with product and design teams to define solutions, not just implement requirements
• Improve performance, scalability, and cost efficiency across AI workloads
• Stay current with emerging research and identify opportunities to apply new capabilities where they create real value

What We're Looking For

• Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrable expertise
• 2–4 years of experience building and deploying AI-powered systems in production environments
• Strong understanding of modern AI architectures, including transformers, embeddings, attention mechanisms, and inference optimization
• Proficiency in Python and experience building APIs and backend services using frameworks such as FastAPI
• Experience with vector databases, retrieval systems, and LLM application architectures
• Comfortable working in a remote, async-first environment with a high degree of ownership
• Naturally proactive and capable of identifying problems and driving solutions independently
• Genuinely engaged with the AI landscape and able to form informed opinions on emerging tools, models, and approaches

Bonus Points

• Experience running local model inference or working with open-weight models
• Contributions to open-source projects, research, technical writing, or public side projects
