**About Pylot

Pylot is the AI operations layer for GCC freight forwarders. We read the WhatsApp and email forwarders already use — in Arabic and English — and automate the front of the workflow: drafting quotes, validating documents, structuring messy customer requests, and handling routine communication. Forwarders don’t adopt a new system. We work on top of how they already operate.

The GCC has thousands of freight forwarders running on WhatsApp, Excel, and a senior coordinator’s memory. We’re building for them.

The Role

Founding CTO. Third co-founder, working alongside the CEO and COO.

Day one, you’ll:

• Own the existing MVP and the agent architecture

• Build out the agent layer: order entry, document validation, quoting with guardrailed negotiation, customer communication, exception handling

• Lead WhatsApp ingestion and bilingual NLP infrastructure

• Set up engineering foundations — infrastructure, security, observability, compliance

• Hire the first engineers within 6 months as we close pre-seed

What we need

• 5+ years building software, with meaningful experience shipping LLM-based applications, agent architectures, or NLP-heavy systems

• Strong Python and JavaScript/TypeScript

• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) and production deployments

• Comfortable with WhatsApp Business API and messaging infrastructure

• Bilingual technical instincts — Arabic and English code-switched inputs are core architecture, not a roadmap item

• Working knowledge of logistics or freight workflows — quoting, shipment lifecycle, car
