Sr. Electrical Engineer

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to lead our electrical engineering function. The successful candidate should possess a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in industrial manufacturing and fabrication, demonstrating strong technical knowledge, project management skills, and the ability to mentor engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities Engineering Leadership

• Lead the electrical engineering department and provide technical guidance to engineering teams.
• Review and approve electrical designs, calculations, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with client specifications, project requirements, and international electrical standards.
• Develop engineering standards, procedures, and best practices.

Project Management

• Plan, execute, monitor, and control electrical engineering activities across multiple projects.
• Coordinate with project management, production, procurement, QA/QC, and clients to ensure successful project execution.
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, manpower allocation, and engineering deliverables.
• Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.

Manufacturing & Production Support

• Provide engineering support to manufacturing and fabrication operations.
• Review production challenges and implement engineering solutions.
• Ensure electrical assemblies and fabricated systems meet approved designs and quality standards.
• Optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Technical Oversight

• Oversee electrical power distribution, MCCs, LV systems, switchgear, control panels, VFDs, PLCs, instrumentation, and automation systems.
• Lead troubleshooting of complex electrical and control system failures.
• Review and approve technical submittals, vendor documentation, and material specifications.
• Evaluate and approve technical deviations where necessary.

Procurement & Vendor Management

• Support procurement in vendor evaluation and technical bid analysis.
• Review and approve electrical material specifications and purchase requisitions.
• Coordinate with suppliers to resolve technical issues.

Commissioning & Client Support

• Oversee Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and commissioning activities.
• Attend client meetings and provide technical presentations.
• Resolve engineering-related client concerns and ensure customer satisfaction.

Quality, HSE & Compliance

• Ensure full compliance with IEC, IEEE, local electrical regulations, ISO standards, and company procedures.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Promote a strong culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

People Management

• Mentor, train, and develop engineering staff.
• Conduct performance evaluations and identify training needs.
• Allocate resources effectively to meet project demands.
• Foster collaboration between engineering, production, and project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's Degree is an advantage).
• Minimum 8–12 years of relevant experience in industrial manufacturing, fabrication, EPC, or heavy engineering industries.
• At least 3–5 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Professional engineering certification or registration is an advantage.

Technical Skills

• Expertise in industrial electrical systems and power distribution.
• Strong knowledge of MCCs, LV systems, transformers, switchgear, PLCs, SCADA, VFDs, and instrumentation.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and electrical engineering software.
• Knowledge of IEC, IEEE, NEC, and local electrical regulations.
• Strong project planning, budgeting, and resource management skills.
• Experience with technical proposal preparation and cost estimation.

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
