Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Joinery Manager to lead our factory and site operations. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in joinery manufacturing, interior fit-out, production planning, project management, and team leadership. The Joinery Manager will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining efficient factory operations.

Key Responsibilities

Production Management

  • Plan, organize, and supervise all factory production activities.
  • Ensure all joinery products are manufactured according to approved shop drawings and specifications.
  • Prepare and manage production schedules based on project deadlines.
  • Allocate manpower, machinery, and materials efficiently.
  • Monitor daily production progress and resolve production issues quickly.
  • Ensure production targets are achieved without compromising quality.

Project Coordination

  • Coordinate with the Sales, Estimation, Design, Procurement, and Site teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Review project drawings, specifications, BOQs, and production requirements before manufacturing begins.
  • Attend project meetings with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers when required.
  • Monitor project timelines and ensure all production and installation milestones are met.
  • Handle project variations and coordinate any required changes with the relevant departments.

Factory Operations

  • Manage the daily operations of the joinery factory.
  • Ensure machinery and equipment are properly maintained and serviced.
  • Improve workflow and factory efficiency.
  • Monitor productivity and identify opportunities to reduce waste and improve output.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of materials and finished products.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe working environment.

Quality Control

  • Ensure all products meet company quality standards before leaving the factory.
  • Inspect completed joinery works before delivery.
  • Identify and resolve quality issues during production.
  • Ensure proper finishing, assembly, and installation standards are maintained.
  • Reduce rework and production errors through continuous quality monitoring.

Material & Procurement Coordination

  • Review material requirements for upcoming projects.
  • Coordinate with the Procurement team to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Monitor material consumption and reduce unnecessary waste.
  • Verify that purchased materials meet project specifications and quality requirements.

Installation & Site Coordination

  • Coordinate factory production with installation schedules.
  • Supervise installation teams when required.
  • Ensure installation works are completed according to approved drawings.
  • Resolve site issues and provide technical support to installation teams.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor project progress and quality.

Team Management

  • Supervise carpenters, machine operators, polishers, installers, supervisors, and factory staff.
  • Assign daily work and monitor team performance.
  • Train and develop employees to improve productivity and workmanship.
  • Conduct regular toolbox talks and team meetings.
  • Maintain discipline and ensure company policies are followed.

Cost Control

  • Monitor project production costs.
  • Minimize material waste and improve resource utilization.
  • Improve factory efficiency to maximize profitability.
  • Review labor productivity and recommend improvements.
  • Support the Estimation team by providing production input and cost-saving solutions.

Health & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with all company safety procedures.
  • Enforce proper use of PPE and safe working practices.
  • Ensure machinery is operated safely.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections.
  • Report accidents and implement corrective actions.
