POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager with a strong background in AI/ML systems to lead quality initiatives across our humanoid and cognitive robotics programs. This role focuses on ensuring end-to-end quality of machine learning data pipelines, model training, and AI system performance within the Physical AI domain. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in AI data quality, model validation, and testing of learning-based systems, ensuring high standards of accuracy, reliability, and robustness.
Work style: remote 100% from any place in GermanyRESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement comprehensive quality assurance strategies tailored to humanoid and robotics development cycles
- Build, mentor, and manage a quality assurance team dedicated to robotics and AI projects
- Ensure all products meet industry standards, safety regulations, and TELUS Digital AI quality benchmarks
- Identify bottlenecks and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and reduce defects
- Assess quality risks specific to humanoid and cognitive robotics (safety, reliability, edge cases) and develop mitigation strategies
- Partner with engineering, product, and AI teams to integrate quality considerations throughout the development lifecycle
- Establish KPIs, track quality metrics, and provide regular reports to senior leadership
- Maintain comprehensive quality documentation, test cases, and audit trails
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience with AI models for humanoid robotics, autonomous robotic or cognitive robotic systems
- 5+ years of quality assurance or quality management experience in technology/software development
- 3+ years of experience in egocentric data collection, robotics, autonomous systems, or AI/ML projects
- Proven track record of leading quality initiatives in complex, hardware-software integrated environments
- Strong knowledge of testing methodologies (unit testing, integration testing, system testing, UAT)
- Experience with quality management systems and frameworks (ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Agile QA practices)
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Quality Management, or related field

- Adaptability: Comfort working in a fast-paced, innovative environment with emerging technologies
GOOD TO HAVE* Knowledge of AI/ML model validation and testing

Familiarity with safety-critical systems and compliance (ISO 26262, IEC 61508)
