We are looking for an experienced Planning Engineer – Façade, Aluminum & Steel / Metal Works to join our Project Controls team. Position Overview

The Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and controlling project schedules for façade, aluminum, steel, and architectural metal works projects. The successful candidate will work closely with Project Managers, Design, Procurement, Production, and Site teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Scheduling

• Develop detailed baseline project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
• Prepare Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), project execution plans, resource-loaded schedules, and project milestones.
• Monitor engineering, procurement, fabrication, delivery, installation, testing, and handover activities.
• Identify critical paths, project risks, and schedule constraints while recommending mitigation measures.
• Update project schedules regularly and monitor progress against approved baselines.

Project Monitoring & Control

• Track project performance using key planning and scheduling metrics.
• Prepare look-ahead schedules, recovery plans, and progress reports.
• Monitor productivity, manpower utilization, and equipment allocation.
• Analyze project delays and recommend corrective actions to maintain project timelines.
• Support project teams in achieving contractual milestones.

Coordination

• Coordinate with Engineering, Design, Procurement, Factory, Logistics, QA/QC, and Site teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Attend project meetings with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure planning activities are aligned with procurement, fabrication, and installation schedules.

Reporting

• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and executive presentations.
• Generate S-Curves, manpower histograms, earned value analysis (EVA), and KPI reports.
• Maintain project documentation, schedule revisions, delay records, and planning registers.
• Assist in preparing extension of time (EOT) documentation and delay analysis when required.

Risk & Resource Management

• Identify potential schedule risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Assist in resource planning, forecasting, and workload balancing.
• Monitor material delivery schedules and coordinate with procurement to avoid project delays.
• Support project management in optimizing project resources and productivity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• PMP or PMI-SP certification is an advantage.

Experience

• Minimum 5–8 years of planning experience within the façade, aluminum, steel structures, architectural metal works, or construction industry.
• Proven experience managing planning activities for multiple high-value projects.
